SALEM, Mass. – The MassCyberCenter has awarded Salem State University $624,437 to establish and operate a cybersecurity training facility, or cyber range, on its campus. The grant is part of the state’s Security Operations Center (SOC)/Cyber Range Initiative, a program managed by MassTech’s MassCyberCenter that aims to help build a diverse generation of cybersecurity professionals through education, training, and workforce development.

WORCESTER, Mass. –The MassCyberCenter has launched the Cyber Resilient Massachusetts Grant Program, a $1.4 million initiative to help local governments improve their cyber defenses. WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – The Healey-Driscoll Administration has awarded $555,000 to support the establishment of the Health AI Assurance Laboratory located at UMass Chan Medical School and run in partnership with Bedford-based MITRE Corporation. The new lab will be supported through the Technology & Innovation Ecosystem Awards Program managed by the Innovation Institute at the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, along with $137,000 in matching investments from the private sector.
The Biden-Harris Administration and the Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced that Massachusetts had been allocated $14.1 million from the State Digital Equity Capacity Grant Program, an “Internet for All” initiative designed to give individuals and communities the tools, skills and opportunities they need for meaningful access to high-speed Internet service.
BOSTON – The Northeast Microelectronics Coalition (NEMC) Hub has submitted 15 proposals to the federal government’s Microelectronics Commons Call for Projects launched in late calendar year 2023, pulling together collaborative projects that span the NEMC Hub’s 170 member organizations from across the Northeast. Highlighting the Hub’s strength in diverse sectors, its submissions covered all six of the critical technology execution areas identified by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) including 5G/6G technology, AI Hardware, Commercial Leap Ahead Technologies, Electromagnetic Warfare, Secure Edge/IoT computing, and Quantum Technologies.
